The Governing Body meets on a monthly basis with meetings made available for the public to attend six times a year. The meetings available for the public to attend are meetings in public and not public meetings.
A meeting held in public is a meeting between members of a group or committee where members of the public are invited to attend and listen. A public meeting is a meeting where anyone who attends can participate in the discussion.
The prime function of the Governing Body meetings is to conduct the business of the Clinical Commissioning Group. We hold our meetings in public to ensure we behave in a way that is both open and transparent. Members of the public are invited to ask questions of clarification relating directly to the agenda to support understanding at the end of the meeting.
The Clinical Commissioning Groups across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are still in the process of finalising the dates and venues for the meetings of the Governing Bodies to be held in public during 2019/20.
Further information will be posted here as soon as details are finalised.
